Celebrating ahead of the grand opening on Saturday, October 2, the Hartford Public Library held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Park Street branch library.
After years of planning, delays, and a pandemic, the $12.5 million Park Street branch is open to the public. The new two-story, 13,000 square foot library is Hartford Public Library’s largest branch and boasts the largest collection of Spanish-language materials among any of the Hartford branches.
“This library is very important. It is a community center, café, community room, educational classroom, and community garden. I believe this building will become an oasis and living room for the Frog Hollow community.” - Tai Soo Kim, FAIA, Founder of TSKP STUDIO
Joined by the community, President and CEO of Hartford Public Library, Bridget E. Quinn, applauded Board of Directors member, Ana Alfaro for her commitment. Ms. Alfaro was instrumental to the success of the Park Street branch library. Explore the full project.
