It’s official! TSKP STUDIO’s Whit Iglehart joined with State Senator John Fonfara, State Representative Minnie Gonzalez, Mayor Luke Bronin, Downes Construction, Hartford Public Library CEO Bridget Quinn-Carey, and several Hartford Public Library Board members to announce that construction will begin on the new Park Street Library Branch in Spring 2019. This is the culmination of over ten years of effort by the community and state representatives to get a new larger branch library for this neighborhood.
The new two-story 13,000 sq. ft. building replaces the current 2,000 sq. ft. branch and will offer adult and children's library functions, community spaces, and a protected outdoor courtyard. Completion is expected in 2020.
