Keeney Elementary School secured a $2.5 million Investment Tax Credit, a milestone that celebrates the Town of Manchester’s leadership in sustainable education.
The renovated Keeney Elementary School is part of the Town of Manchester’s decade-long initiative to transform its elementary schools into high-performing, sustainable learning environments. As the final project in this comprehensive plan, Keeney joins Buckley and Bowers Elementary Schools as a Net Zero energy facility.
The ITC is a federal incentive designed to support energy-efficient and renewable energy investments and significantly offsets the cost of qualifying systems incorporated into the project. By leveraging this incentive, the school is able to reduce overall project costs while advancing the Town of Manchester’s long-term goals related to energy performance, operational savings, and environmental responsibility.
This substantial tax credit reflects thoughtful planning and a commitment to maximizing available funding opportunities. The financial benefit strengthens the project’s return on investment and helps ensure that public resources are used efficiently, allowing more dollars to be directed toward educational priorities.
The calculated ITC underscores how strategic design and funding alignment can deliver meaningful economic and environmental benefits to schools and communities.
