Guilford Connecticut – Topping off ceremonies were held March 7, 2014 at the site of the new 200,000 sq.ft. high school now under construction in Guilford Connecticut. In anticipation of this day, the last beam to be put into place was whitewashed and signed by Guilford High School students to be forever encased within the walls of their new building. The existing students and staff can observe the daily progress on the new 3 story structure under construction from the roof of their existing school on the same site. When complete the new facility will featuring a central day-lit commons that doubles as cafeteria and lobby for surrounding spaces; day-lit corridors that can double as team collaboration spaces; and highly flexible classrooms that foster a wider variety of teaching-learning modes. The new school, being constructed by the O&G/Fusco Joint Venture was designed by TSKP STUDIO, of Hartford Connecticut.
