A master plan for the 118-acre Stamford Museum and Nature Center has been developed through extensive site investigation and workshops with the staff, members, and other constituents of the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

The plan represents a comprehensive vision for addressing both current issues of deferred maintenance, and proposed improvements to the facilities and grounds that will support the multi-faceted mission of the institution. Critical issues on the site include awkward site entry and signage, confusing vehicular circulation and parking arrangement, and pedestrian/vehicular conflicts. The master plan proposes a reconfigured entrance, a new roadways plan, a comprehensive strategy to address stormwater, renovation as well as new construction.

The implementation plan is proposed over multiple phases to optimize the visitor experience and allow for incremental funding of initiatives.
